Duties and Responsibilities:
Radiation Therapy Technologist assists radiologist and
oncologist (cancer specialist) in treating disease by exposing areas of
patients’ bodies to ionizing radiation.
Average Salary: $22,000 - $36,000
Education:
If you want to prepare to be a Radiation Therapist you should
take science, math, and English as challenging courses in high school. Students
can train to become a radiation therapist in either one or two year program. You
must have a high school diploma or a GED to enter the two year course.
