Duties and Responsibilities:
“Operating room technician are also called surgical technician
or surgical technologist.’’ They are responsible for having surgical
instruments, sterile bandages and linens, needs fluids, and other equipment’s
ready for the operation. They deliver specimens to hospitals laboratories for
analysis, and after operation they take patients to the recovery.
Average Salary: $16,000 - $22,000
Education:
If you want to be an Operating room technician you need to
have a high school diploma or a GED. There
are many vocational junior colleges that offer programs that operating room
technology but the course is one year to two years.
Reflection:
I wouldn't want to be one because I’m not that good with
technology.
