Duties and Responsibilities:

Ophthalmologists are physicians who work with eye disorders and diseases. They also treat vision problems and write prescriptions and corrective eyeglass lenses. If the eye disorder is really bad they might need surgery.

Average Salary: $90,000 – $150,000

Educational:

Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologist. After completing medical school and internship, an ophthalmologist must then complete three to five years.
