Duties and
Responsibilities:
Social
workers help people and their families to adjust to problem such as serious
illness, child abuse, substance abuse, mental illness, handicaps, juvenile
delinquency, and anti-social behavior. They also help the homeless, chronically
unemployed and mentally ill. Most of them work for the government in offices,
hospitals, clinics, prison, or the courts.
Average Salary: $20,000 - $42,000
Education:
Students should
start preparing for a career in social work by taking challenging courses in
high school especially in English, Science, and Math. Some of the organization might let you work
with a bachelor’s degree.
